Not legal or investment advice. Tax sale rules vary by state, county, and municipality, and change with legislation. Auction inventory, opening bids, and statutory figures here are compiled from public records and may be stale or incomplete. Confirm everything with the county treasurer, tax collector, or clerk of court — and with an attorney — before bidding.

Liens that survive

Tax lien certificate is not ownership. Owner retains title during redemption. Federal liens and other recorded interests require independent analysis. Post-2026 rules limit stacking very old delinquencies into sale price (3-year limit under amended La. law).

Quiet title

After redemption expires and tax deed/adjudication process completes under new statute, quiet title or curative work is typically required for marketable title.

Verify before you bid

This record was compiled from the published sale list. Parcels are pulled, redeemed, and re-priced up to the moment of sale. Confirm the lot is still in the sale, and confirm the opening bid, directly with the county.
